I made a promise to stay cool today and not give in to Royal Marriage craze.

Promise was broken and here I am with my fellow coworkers gazing at the screen. How about you?
Here it is – the most talked about dress in 2011. The mistery designer? Sarah Burton – Alexander McQueen.

New face at Balmain, still waiting for Dior

FashionMag announced this morning that Oliber Rousteing was appointed new Artistic Director at Balmain. Therefore the rumors that Decarnin leaves the house are confirmed. Personally I loved Decarnin work and I believe that he was the one who put Balmain again in the race. Will Rousteing keep up the good work ?

The good girl guide to bad books

I owe you my holiday book review.
Usually I take 2 chick lits and one more serious title. This year I decided to be girly all the way and I’ve learned my lesson.First one “Cocktails for thee” by Madeline Wickham it’s not even worth mentioning. I am really sorry but the book is dull and too predictable. It’s like this move you have already seen hundred times on tv but was never eager to watch it entirely.

Second book was far more interesting “The good girls guide to bad men” by  Jessica Brody. Already title is more intriguing. It starts very good. L.A, great girl, fidelity inspection agency… Beginning is funny , novelty is in the air, interesting intrigues are happening. But then somehow, as the plot goes further to main character personal life…well...you already know the ending and you just stop reading.

You see, lesson learned.  Next holidays I am bringing good old Scarlett O’Hara.

Vague designer definition

Few days ago I have shown you a photo shoot styled by Vanessa Traina.
If you’re a fan of her styling talent, you will be happy to learn that she is also an aspiring designer….Funny how stylist started to create they own lines recently…

Vanessa Traina paired up with French fashion house Maje and launched SS2011 capsule collection.I am big fan of Maje designs and if only prices were more accessible (they are around twice more expensive than Zara,  way less expensive that haute couture, however sometimes quality might be disappointing) my wardrobe would be full of their pieces. As far as Vanessa Traina goes…I am starting to appreciate her work as a stylist. As a designer…..well…look and see for yourself.

And what you think?  Should she continue designing clothes? Or just stick to stylist job?

New challenge

It’s important to take new challenges in life. This is what keeps going.

New challenge for Lauren Conrad? Beauty oriented website!
The Beauty Department launched today and it aim to cover all beauty questions that you may have. Plus they will keep up on new beauty trends and new products. Sounds good, right? So far there are just few posts, but all of them interesting and well put. I like the website design, all cute and girly. I have a feeling Miss Conrad will have a loyal audience pretty soon.

In the meantime, I am still waiting for Paper Crown to launch in Europe! Any news on that, Lauren?

Have a good day

Happy April fools day!

Ring from Bvlgari Marina Collection

In France this day is called Poisson d'avril = April fish.
I thought a small BVLGARI ring with a fish motive will be in order. Have a great day!
