The shortest day of the year

I've heard on the radio this morning that today we have the shortest day of the year. 

That baisically means that sun will be with us very shortly, if at all. I haven't seen it since last weekend. But there is a good news in here as well - it also means that starting tomorrow, days will get longer and longer. For the shortes day of the year, December 21st I prepared my 21th December wish - Eugenia Kim Kurt Rabbit felt fedora. It looks so chick and most important - it's warm. I really like the chain detail.

Thanks God it's Friday!

This week was truely exhausting. Loads of work, last minute christmas present shopping, christmas office party...I can wait to go home tonight, put comfy pajama on and snoooozzzzzeee.

Do you remember Spice Girls?

Tonight I have office Christmas party and everyone needs to dress  up as letter S. Well something, someone that name starts with a letter S. Santa, sugar, starbucks, sandals...you get the drill. With my collegues we decided to dress up as...Spice Girls? Do you remember them? I was really obsessed back in primary shool. 

I was chosen to be Posh Spice and I couldn't be more happy. After all, I now adore her as a designer. However when I look at her pictures from 90s, her style was a bit diffrent and a little latexy...Cannot be her, must be the 90s, right? To celebrate tonight and in memeory of Spice Girls my 15th December Christmas wish is a piece from Victoria Beckham SS2012 collection. 

With the bag and the shoes please.

Revolution in advertising

Yes, i call it revolution because it's truly is one.

For the firs time in the history of product advertising, men is advertining women bra. And may I just say he is rocking it. 

It is a very smart move form company Hema, that not only decided to launch new product, break the rules but also made sure to  have worldwide free publicity. Almost everyone is talking about those pictures.
Andrej Pejic is a great model, but to be honest not know for his chest volume. If he can sports Hema Mega Push Up bra then ladies - we can be sure we will do to.

I am impressed by Hema smart move here. Brava!

Every day we are getting closer

Every day we are getting closer to Christmas.

I am very excited and looking forward to this day as if I was still a kid. I don't know, maybe it's beacause all the Christmas decoaration in Paris, carols played on the streets/starbucks, the fact I will be going home to spend some time with my family. All the factors combined make me wanna sing "Running around a Christmas tree"...

For now, I am concentration on my wishlist. And as today is December 13, it's time to make my 13 wish.

It will keep me warm until spring and I can already see myself in it-with black opaque tights, black skirt and high heels boots.

Weekend state of mind and this time of year weekend means Christmas parties, Christmas dinners with friends shortly speaking lots of fun. So don't be suprised when for my 10th Chistmas wish I will chose some jewelery.After all I am just preparing to go out for a party. Nice jewelery is needed.

Would you wear something from mrs. cruise's collection?

We got a little preview of Holmes&Yang Fall 2011 collection. Just to remind you Katie Holmes and her stylist Jeanne Yang teamed up some time ago to create thier own clothing line. Since the announcment was made, we were waiting for a first fruits of this collaboration. What I wanted to know was: will it be equally good as Victoria Beckham's line?

The answer is, unfortunatelly, not. I don't see anything interesting, new or innovatiove in this collection. Barneys New York put on sale few pieces and I am a bit dissapointed. I understant those clothes are made from exceptional fabrics and so...but prices are a bit too high for my taste £2,500 for a jacket, £1,500 for a dres...Should I continue?

It seem like this spring we will have two new trends to chose from: color block and nude palette, façon Chloe. I like both of them and the idea of more colour on parisian streets make me happy. Way too much black around lately. However looking at Mango Spring 2011 collection I am more inclined to the nude wave. Just seems so feminine and delicate. Also way much easier to wear than color block. Somehow I really like the idea of delicate, feminin clothes in the world we are living in.

Chanel revealed new add campaign for Chanel Mademoiselle bag. Blake Lively is an egerie of the bag.

I am really glad the bag is better than recent Louboutin creation for Blake.

Photos were made by Karl himself and you can clearly see his vison here. It's sophisticated and sleek and you don't recognise our Gossip Girl at first. Your eyes go straight to the bag and that is the whole point.

They keep on suprising me with ideas and styling. And those are good suprises. I won't wear a red face in the fall, but I will surely wear this great red, black and white dress.

Celine

Chic, classy and clean. Very nice Celine! Please note new way of holding a bag. After Prada, Celine is trying to launch new trend. I like both of them and already start applying. My friends decided  that in order to do this right I need new Prada and Celine bag. Couldn't agree more.

Lady Gaga was good but there is so much more to it

Paris Fashion Week continues. 

Why I love it so much? Because I actually get to experience it! I may not be siting in the front row at fashion shows but I am actually in Paris. And during those days, fashion is everywhere in the city. High fashion fashionistas near Ritz, models near venues and street style fashionistas everywere. Love it!

Now let's look at the designs.

Mugler:

Yes, Lady Gaga was one of the models and she was pretty much fantastic. But there was so much more to this show than her. Clothes were actually pretty amazing.

The white long dress is perfection!

Zac Posen

Warrior meets delicate women. Love the black cape and silver fabric for the dress and blouse. Solid collection with wearable but fantasy pieces.

Balmain

Christophe Decarnin was not present during the show due to some health issues. I hope he will get better soon. I really enjoyed Balmain AW 2011 collection. Modern, elegant, chic and practical. Fur shoulder jacket is great, I love the extra volume. Anja Rubik dress is stunning, there were actually more good dresses in the collection but this one is by far my favourite. Mirror/sequin/silver skirt - I want it right now. Good way to mix casual black to with something more festive.

It's time for Paris!

Yes, it's time to start Paris Fashion Week!

So no talking, watch and learn.

Just once little comment to start with. After colour explosion we saw in NY, London and Milan first AW 2011 Paris shows seems awfully dark and sober. Not in a good way. It's like there is some danger in the air that just waits to explode. I do hope next days will bring more optimism.

Once again, really dark ambiance.I like the sweater cut and draping of the blac dress. It can make a really firece look. However without John Lennon glasses. They rarely suit us.

Husseun Chalayan

This collection is called Kaikou, that means "open country" in Japanese. Context: opening of Japan to the world after the tragic events of World War II. Yes, we are far away from Dolce&Gabanna my dear readers.

I think it's my recent love for minimalist looks that made my like those pieces.Black and white essencials with interesting cut.

My weekend find

Last weekend I went for a treasure hunt to my favorites vintages shops in Marais.

Once again I was amazed by how many cool things we can find there! Luxury brands goods, no brands goods, 50s items and 80s running track shorts. You just need to have a little patience with other customers (girls can get agressive over a belt!) and sometimes with the vendors (that tend to ingore you when you ask too many questions). Overall, good shopping escapade. And I found my new bag!!! 

Please meet my  Mac Douglas bag, model Pyla in Buffle leather.

I think it's a good compromise between Celine ( over 1000€)  and random Zara bag ( €100). Plus I was promised it will stay in a good shape forever.
