Last days, latest loves

Paris Fashion Week is almost over.
Soon enough we will concentrate on testing spring trends and looking out for the summer.

Let me introduce to you my latest loves from Paris Fashion Week.

Yves Saint Laurent

YSL classics at it's finest.

Victor&Rolf

They keep on suprising me with ideas and styling. And those are good suprises. I won't wear a red face in the fall, but I will surely wear this great red, black and white dress.

Celine

Chic, classy and clean. Very nice Celine! Please note new way of holding a bag. After Prada, Celine is trying to launch new trend. I like both of them and already start applying. My friends decided  that in order to do this right I need new Prada and Celine bag. Couldn't agree more.

When Romeo is more feminine than Juliette

We all know androgen beauty type, girls that looks like boys is not a shoker in our epoque. Designers already dressed us in boy's clothes, advised us to get a short hair cut and tried to make us belive that flat chest is the way to go. Now, it seems that fashion took 180 degree turn. It's time for boys to be like girls. And no, I am not talking about drag queens&co...I am talking about upcoming trend that is described as Femimen phenomeon.  When men are more feminine than woman. To the point that it was a male model that wore bridal dress during last JPGaultier Haute Couture show in Paris.

Borders between two genders are slowly disapearing. At least at image point of view. I do hope there will still be some difference between us.

What do you think about this new trend? How long will it last?

Delicate and summer ready

It's been a while since my last New talent post. My apologies, Fashion month was keeping me pretty busy.
But what a month it was! Famous creators, small labels good and bad choices.
Let's go back  to reality now and check our first New talent this month.

Emilie Aman logo

Emilie Aman, young french designer that launched her first collection for SS 2011. She used to work for Vogue Paris, then decided to follow her passion for design. I must say: good choice. She has definitely something new to say and show us. Her designs are very feminine and delicate. Subtle fabrics, cute cuts and colours. All very girly chic pret-à- porter. For the moment I just saw her tops and dresses, I am looking forward for more pieces. But I let you judge.

Lady Gaga was good but there is so much more to it

Paris Fashion Week continues.
Why I love it so much? Because I actually get to experience it! I may not be siting in the front row at fashion shows but I am actually in Paris. And during those days, fashion is everywhere in the city. High fashion fashionistas near Ritz, models near venues and street style fashionistas everywere. Love it!

Now let's look at the designs.

Mugler:

Yes, Lady Gaga was one of the models and she was pretty much fantastic. But there was so much more to this show than her. Clothes were actually pretty amazing.

The white long dress is perfection!

Zac Posen

Warrior meets delicate women. Love the black cape and silver fabric for the dress and blouse. Solid collection with wearable but fantasy pieces.

Balmain

Christophe Decarnin was not present during the show due to some health issues. I hope he will get better soon. I really enjoyed Balmain AW 2011 collection. Modern, elegant, chic and practical. Fur shoulder jacket is great, I love the extra volume. Anja Rubik dress is stunning, there were actually more good dresses in the collection but this one is by far my favourite. Mirror/sequin/silver skirt - I want it right now. Good way to mix casual black to with something more festive.

It's time for Paris!

Yes, it's time to start Paris Fashion Week!
So no talking, watch and learn.

Just once little comment to start with. After colour explosion we saw in NY, London and Milan first AW 2011 Paris shows seems awfully dark and sober. Not in a good way. It's like there is some danger in the air that just waits to explode. I do hope next days will bring more optimism.

Haakan

 Bonus for styling and shoes.

Carven

Once again, really dark ambiance.I like the sweater cut and draping of the blac dress. It can make a really firece look. However without John Lennon glasses. They rarely suit us.

Husseun Chalayan

This collection is called Kaikou, that means "open country" in Japanese. Context: opening of Japan to the world after the tragic events of World War II. Yes, we are far away from Dolce&Gabanna my dear readers.
I think it's my recent love for minimalist looks that made my like those pieces.Black and white essencials with interesting cut.

More to come so stay tunned!

Change of a dress

All fashion world talks about John Galliano affair right now.  Now wonder - when such a persona faces such accusations a war or worlds is in order. Speculations are flying, gossips are invented and the everyone tries to find an answer to those questions "Guilty or not". Meanwhile some nasty video was found by the english tabloid "The Sun", that ( if true) leaves no space for doubts.

Personally I am in constant awe of JG genious mind. No doubt he is very talented designer. I never got a chance to meet him personally so I will restrain and not give my opinion about JG as a person. I am sure time will show what was true, what was not.

Natalie Portman however decided to speak up. Statement issued yesterday says:

“I am deeply shocked and disgusted by the video of John Galliano’s comments that surfaced today. In light of this video, and as an individual who is proud to be Jewish, I will not be associated with Mr. Galliano in any way. I hope at the very least, these terrible comments remind us to reflect and act upon combating these still-existing prejudices that are the opposite of all that is beautiful.”

Rumor has it that she also changed her Dior dress to Rodarte just hours before Oscar red carpet .

What celebrity is next?
And who we will see at the Dior show this Friday?

When lion is involved, it's serious

Bvlgari is launching new fragrance Bvlgari Mon Jasmin Noir. Kirsten Dunst became egérie of this new creation.
Ad campaign preview?

Bvlgair Mon Jasmin Noir
Satin sheets, jewelery, fountain ( palace?) in the background and a lion. Little much, no?
I understand that this vision blends peferctly with other Bvlgair campaigns featuring Juliane Moore, Bvlgari creation and animals. And I really like the idea, it's just here...it seems so fake.

And it's not. Apparently lion was all real. Proof?

This picture is already so much better, more delicate and sensual.
What do you think?
Would you pose in the photoshoot with real lion?
